Ep. 14- Chase Huntley & the Wilderness Society
As Interim Deputy Vice President of the Energy & Climate Program Director, Chase works with staff in the public policy and public lands departments to develop and evaluate policy options for sustainably managing energy production on the nation's public lands in the face of global warming.
Chase comes to The Wilderness Society with significant policy analysis experience, including more than six years’ service at the Government Accountability Office, the investigative arm of the U.S. Congress, evaluating the stewardship of public resources and the implementation of natural resource law and regulation. He represented GAO at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in 2002.
On the podcast, we chat about his journey into public lands policy, the role of BLM land, and the pressing issues affecting federal lands in the US, namely the West.
